I was born before computers and cell phones, in a much simpler time when children played outdoors and long distance phone calls were a luxury. I grew up in rural Connecticut with trees to climb and an older brother to idolize. My doting parents sacrificed to no end to provide for their two sons and I have no doubt they nurtured me to be the father I am today, to my own two sons.
Music has always been at the center of my life. Singing in choirs, playing instruments, writing and listening to music have all been constants in my life and have brought me more joy and fulfillment than I could have imagined. Theater is something that I’ve been doing ever since my brother, cousins and I painstakingly reenacted the events of 1620 in Plymouth, MA every Thanksgiving as kids.
I am blessed to have attended prestigious colleges and to have had the opportunity to perform in concert halls and churches and on stages around the world. I’ve made several recordings, won a Grammy Award® for one of them, and I even got to run away and join the circus. No, really.
All of my accomplishments in the performing arts, small and large, pale in comparison to the wonder I experience every day as the proud father of two little boys.
